Children’s sand art promotes Chipwrecked DVD

Going beyond a simple sand castle some Blackpool schoolchildren have taken to the beaches to help promote the release of Alvin and the Chipmunks : Chipwrecked.

The children, from St John’s primary school in Blackpool had a sand art master class and helped to produce this image of Alvin. Chipwrecked sees Alvin, Simon and Theodore along with the Chipettes finding themselves stranded on a desert island after falling overboard a cruise ship. It stars Jason Lee as their human guardian Dave and Justin Long as the voice of Alvin and made $135 million dollars after a December opening.

Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is released on DVD & Triple Play from 2 April, courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
