E3: Halo 4 Announcement and Trailer

Along with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition. Microsoft unveiled a 60 second trailer for Halo 4.

The trailer kicks off exactly where Master Chief left in Halo 3. In stasis onboard the Forward Unto Dawn that’s been ripped in half during the hyperspace jump escape.

Cortana wakes Master Chief up, saying “John, I need you” upon which he takes Cortana from her AI station and makes his way through some of the rubble before picking up a Magnum and shooting a bit of the debris to make his way out to the end of the ship.

We then see a spectacular planet with many lights, which the ship seems to be heading towards a crash landing. This looks like the Forerunner’s planet, but is unconfirmed as yet. All we do know is that Master Chief is back in 2012.
