Holly Willoughby has been announced as Fern Britton’s replacement on ITV’s flagship morning show ‘This Morning’. The 28 year old has previously worked with co-presenter Phillip Schofield on Dancing On Ice, as well as appearing on reality show Fame Academy, and the youth programmes CD:UK and Ministry of Mayhem. She started her career as a model at the age of 14, taking part in high profile campaigns for Pretty Polly and Rimmel. In 2006 she won a BAFTA for her work as a chidrens’ television presenter.

On her official website, Holly said; “Earlier today I popped in to see a dear friend of mine Phillip Schofield to celebrate the fact that I am set to be his new partner on This Morning! I filled in on the show a few months back which was great as it had always been my dream job. I have always been a fan but to be hosting it was something completely different.”

Britton decided to move on after ten years on This Morning. Speaking on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man this week she claimed that new mum Holly would be ‘perfect’ as her replacement.

Willoughby will appear for the first time as a main presenter on Monday July 20th.
