Dollhouse is one my favorite shows: I love the full premise, the fluid cast, the umbrella story, *Alpha* is a great character, Eliza D. can sell all her personas so far and stay true to her phenomenal essence. This is a very rich show.

WHAT?

ALL of the dolls??

What about Dichen Lachman?? (Sierra)

I agree Dushku's got limited range (...very much so), not least because her wonderful, sexy voice is unfortunately too distinctive to make different roles really seem very different... but "Sierra" has a fantastic range. I swear she played the "Taffy" persona better than Dushku did for instance.

Also, Amy Acker (Claire Saunders) and Olivia Williams (Adelle DeWitt) are increasingly awesome actresses who have really gotten a chance to shine in recent episodes ("Omega" and "Spy in the House of Love", specifically), so while I agree that "Boyd" and Alan Tudyk are fantastic, they're not anywhere near the only good members of the cast IMO.

Plus, even some of those with potentially limited range in comparison to "Sierra", such as Miracle Laurie or the guy who plays Topher, are still pretty damn good in the roles they do have, particularly as they get more screen time and therefore more revelations for their character. "Topher" is particularly good at the comedy parts I think - the episode where he accidentally ends up completely baked alongside DeWitt (whose actress shows herself there just as capable of comedy as drama) is utterly priceless.

This is an extraordinarily lucky break for the Dollhouse gang. In my opinion, renewal of this show keeps Whedon from working on something that is much more solid and viewable.

While Dollhouse may have an intriguing concept and backstory, the show itself is horrifically acted on many accounts (not all...Boyd saves the day, as well as Tudyk). I maintain that Dushku and the rest of the Dolls (in addition to Tahmoh as Ballard) simply don't have the chops to carry this for the long haul. This is particularly sad since it's pretty much Dushku's vehicle.

Part of me hoped for cancellation, with the anticipation of something stronger from Joss, but now it looks like we're stuck. I highly doubt I'll plug in for season two.

This would be awesome. I really hope it comes back since there is so much more to the story. That's the problem with networks they don't realize that sometimes it takes a show a while to get the numbers and it certainly didn't help that it was put on such a crappy night.

Dollhouse returning would be amazing, lets hope for once the people at Fox aren't foolish enough to underestimate the Joss Wheedon fanbase. Honestly, is there any other tv show writer/director type person who even has a cult-like following?

Now, to find someone who is going to Comic Con and have them get me a copy of that BluRay special release...
