Submitted by Kevin.Beaumont on May 12, 2009 – 11:41 pm6 Comments

FOX have officially picked up “Human Target”, a pilot starring Mark Valley (Fringe), to series.  The drama revolves around mysterious freelancer Christopher Chance, who takes on a different identity each week to help those in need.

The big action drama has tested extremely well, and is liked by incoming executive Peter Rice.  We have heard FOX are considering pairing it with “Dollhouse”, or bringing in one of their other pilots for a back to back pairing in the Fall.

I’ll be surprised to see Mark Valley pull this role off but will definitely watch the show if it’s paired with Dollhouse! Dear God please let Fox grow a brain and give it a second season.

The buzz around those who’ve seen the pilot (it’s been screened today) is that it’s very good.

  • JIG says:

I thought it didn’t screen good! Sounds very much like a good pairing for Dollhouse.

Still sounds like a bad choice. Demo test is not always right. The jury is however out on this one. I only hope this one wont sink the sarah Connor chronicles from getting a new season.

Fox already had a main character named Chance (Strange Luck)…another good show with promise that got the axe

I have actually been hoping for FRINGE and DOLLHOUSE to be paired. After that killer finale I am almost as interested in FRINGE as in DOLLHOUSE (I wonder if FOX is responsible for those interminable “mystery of the week” episodes that hampered FRINGE for much of the season, just as they forced DOLLHOUSE to have so many standalones).

But DOLLHOUSE and HUMAN TARGET wouldn’t be a bad fit either. Just as long as they don’t stick them on Fridays. Or, if they do, to just realize that the 18-49 crowd doesn’t watch TV on Fridays and be content with whatever kind of viewership they can get.
